Guardians of The Galaxy: Will we Sylvester Stallone?

Sylvester Stallone may not have been so lucky at this year’s Academy Awards, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t stopped looking to the future.Stallone’s next project will apparently take the action away from Earth alongside the universe’s biggest misfits:  Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie’s director James Gunn revealed last month on Facebook that Kurt Russell, Elizabeth Debicki and Chris Sullivan had joined the cast of his sequel, he promised “We’ll have more surprises for you in the coming months.” Has one of those surprises already been spoiled?

According to a new report from NY Daily News, Sylvester Stallone was spotted leaving a Hotel in Atlanta, the same Hotel where the entire cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has been staying during the film’s production. The photos taken of him show him holding a script as he rushes off to set. There has not been an official announcement yet about whether we will see in the Rocky star in the movie or the role he will be playing. Although, we can start putting the hints together, and it looks that in all probability we will see Stallone in the upcoming adventurous sequel of  Guardians of the Galaxy. This report has also stated that his role “would be a cameo” which is very unlike him.

This is not the first time Stallone would play a character from the world of comic book movies. Back in the 1990’s he tried his hand at a silver screen adaptation of legendary comic book character Judge Dredd but the end product was just not good enough. He has received another well deserved shot at playing a comic book character on the big screen.

If Stallone were joining the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 cast, he’d be joining Russell, Debicki, Sullivan, Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Glenn Close and Bradley Cooper.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 will open in theaters on May 5th, 2017.
