Marty McFly had to go back in time to make sure his parents got together, but the heroes (and a couple of guys who don’t really fit that moniker) of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow have a much bigger mission: stop an immortal supervillain before he takes over the world. No pressure or anything. Rip Hunter prepares his team for their first time-tossed mission in a new trailer for The CW’s upcoming superhero adventure, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The Flash/Arrow spinoff features a mix of heroes and villains, racing through time in an attempt to prevent Vandal Savage from realizing his plans for world domination.
There is some decent humor, and an overall light, fun tone to the trailer. A nice Star Wars nod at the end hints at some nice pop-culture integration in the series.
Additionally, the network has released the latest in its line of spotlight videos, this time focusing on the men who form Firestorm: Prof. Martin Stein and Jefferson Jackson.
Based on the characters from DC Comics, the new series hails from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Greg Berlanti (“The Flash,” “Supergirl,” “Arrow”) serves as executive producer alongside Marc Guggenheim (Eli Stone, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Andrew Kreisberg (“The Flash,” “Warehouse 13”) and Sarah Schechter (“The Flash,” Pan).
Legends of Tomorrow premieres on the CW on Thursday, 21st January.
