Marvel has released the first official sneak peak of the upcoming sequel of Guardians of the Galaxy and it has got all of us hooked-up. The cast consisting of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Dave Bautista will reprise their inter galactic superhero roles. The first teaser trailer did not throw light on the storyline of the movie but it left a trail of events of the movie.
Guardians teaming up with Nebula and Yondu?
In the poster of the movie, we can see that Nebula and Yondu are definitely going to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Although, it is surprising that Yondu will join the Guardians as he was betrayed by the Peter Quill himself at the very end of the Guardians of the Galaxy. But Yondu has always had an emotional attachment towards Peter Quill as he was the person who raised the leader of the Guardians like a foster parent. He has also seemed to have changed the color of his Mohawk from blue to red. Nebula is another character who is not exactly fond of the Guardians as she failed to retrieve the orb from them for her not-so-loving father, Thanos.
What is happening between Gamora and Peter Quill?
We get a glimpse of a worried looking Star Lord being consoled by Drax in his own way. Drax tells Star Lord ” there are two types of being in the universe, those who dance and those who do not” Gamora being the latter and Star Lord being the former. He even goes on to tell Star Lord that he needs to find someone who is as pathetic as Star Lord himself. This is the probably the best scene of the teaser trailer but it will be interesting to find out the development of the troubled romance between Gamora and Peter Quill.
Baby Groot! Need we say more?
The cute little dancing baby Groot that we saw at the end of the Guardians of the Galaxy is back. In the poster, he is near the foot of Peter Quill in case you have not found him yet and there is a brief glimpse of him right at the end of the teaser trailer with Rocket. Will he remain the same small baby Groot throughout the movie? In the first movie, he demonstrated the ability to grow according to need, so will he grow into the big old Groot by the end of the movie?
The two notable characters that are missing from the teaser trailer are Mantis played by Pom Klementieff and Ego played by Kurt Russell. It is fascinating to observe that these two characters were missing from the teaser trailer completely. The absence of the living planet Ego, the father of Star Lord comes as a surprise because Director of the movie, James Gunn had explained earlier that revealing Ego as the father of Peter Quill was not the big stunner of the movie. Mantis is another character who will sooner or later join the Guardians of the Galaxy is completely missing from the poster and also the teaser trailer.
