Preordering is the best way to make sure you get the comics you want. Here’s exactly what happens from the moment you order.

From your order to your door.
From your order to your door.
  1. You preorder. Your price is locked in the moment you order.
  2. We order at FOC. Your copy goes into our order before the print run is set.
  3. Release day. The book arrives at our HQ and is bagged and boarded right away.
  4. It ships, or waits in your Holdbox. Your way: ship the order, or collect more and ship it all at once.

Pricing

  • 20% off every preorder
  • +3% bank fee on the Visa exchange rate
  • 5¢ prices rounded up to the nearest 5¢

Prices start from the publisher’s US cover price, converted to Canadian dollars at the current Visa exchange rate plus a 3% bank fee. Prices update weekly with the exchange rate, but once you order, your price is locked in.

Release dates

Each listing shows the publisher’s estimated release date. Publishers sometimes move dates, so a book can arrive a little earlier or later than planned. Graphic novels and manga usually have longer lead times than single issues. We order new books through the distributors Lunar Distribution and Penguin Random House.

Shipping

We ship across Canada and to the United States. Every comic is bagged, boarded and packed with sturdy materials. An order with preorder items ships once everything in it has been released and processed.

Condition

New comics are guaranteed 9.4 NM or better. Cover images are publisher previews, and the printed cover art can vary.

If something goes wrong

If our supplier damages, shorts or allocates a book, we’ll replace it if we can. If not, we’ll offer the damaged copy or a full refund. You’ll find every detail on our comic preorder policies page.
